The parents of a Texas gunman who killed 14 people at a Fort Hood base and the man who planned his rampage have set up a Wreath Of Flowers for the man’s mother, according to The Associated Press.
The Wreath is set in a courtyard at the base and includes a photograph of the woman and a quote from her.
“We can’t be happy with what happened to you,” reads the quote, which has been translated by the U.S. embassy.
“The world needs to be reminded of your sacrifice.
It is not enough to cry and feel sorrow.
We must also find ways to heal, and we must find ways for you to come home.”
It is unclear how the Wreath will be distributed.
The Wreath, which was first posted on Facebook and has been shared over 200,000 times, has since been translated into dozens of languages, including Spanish, German, Japanese and English.
A Facebook page has been set up for the woman’s family.
